Councils are coming to terms with the largest front loaded cuts to their budgets for decades and are making real organisation change to ensure continued delivery of high quality services.

This means change for suppliers to councils. Rates and terms need to be increasingly competitive, but as councils' move towards outsourcing and partnership working, there are huge opportunities too. If organisations can demonstrate their commitment to working with councils in true partnership they have a unique opportunity to create new working relationships and capture new business.

If you are more than just a supplier, are helping shape organisational change and are delivering excellence through your relationship with a council or group of councils, enter the LGC Business Partnership Awards to have this contribution nationally recognised by the only magazine for local government read by chief executives and directors across the UK.

We look forward to judging your entry and recognising your work as an outstanding business partner to UK councils.

Editor, Local Government Chronicle
